Olympic champions in the ring in Nowy Targ
Fans will get as many as 48 fights on the fourth day of the European Games. The boxing tournament is kicking off.
Ladies will compete in three categories – 54 kg, 60 kg and 66 kg, while men will fight at 51 kg, 80 kg and 92 kg.
All the fights played today are the 1/8 finals phase. Who to pay attention to? Certainly Estelle Mossely (FRA) – Olympic champion from Rio (2016), Kellie Harrington (IRL) – Olympic champion from Tokyo (2020) and Busenaz Surmeneli (TUR) – Olympic champion from Tokyo (2020).
The light heavyweight bout promises to be a great one, as both Taylor Bevan (GBR) and Kelyn Cassidy (IRL) won their Saturday fights in very good style. The eyes of the fans will also be on Oleksandr Khyzhnyak (80kg), world champion, European champion and Olympic silver medalist.
