Breaking zadebiutuje na Igrzyskach Europejskich
W Parku Strzeleckim w Nowym Sączu rozpoczyna się najważniejsze wydarzenie dla fanów breakingu. Ta młoda dyscyplina sportu budzi wielkie zainteresowanie, bo za rok zadebiutuje na Igrzyskach Olimpijskich.
Najlepsi bboys i bgirls z piętnastu krajów zmierzą się w konkurencji Head to Head Individual, zawalczą w formacie turniejowym. Pierwszego dnia zobaczymy fazę grupową Round Robin, podczas której rywalizują 4 grupy po 4 zawodników. Drugiego dnia odbędą się ćwierćfinały, półfinały i finały.
O zwycięstwo zawalczy 16 kobiet i 16 mężczyzn. Wśród uczestników reprezentujących Polskę znajdą się wybitni tancerze: Paulina Starus, znana jako “Bgirl Paulina”, Igor “Wigor” Wypiór. Pojawi się także reprezentantka Litwy polskiego pochodzenia, najmłodsza uczestniczka igrzysk, Dominika Baniewicz “Bgirl Nicka”, która ma już na swoim koncie złoty medal Mistrzostw Europy w breakdance.
Rywalizacja odbędzie się w różnych układach.
Podczas turnieju Bboys i bgirls będą rywalizować w pojedynkach 1 na 1, 2 na 2 lub ekipowo, gdzie czteroosobowe zespoły będą walczyć przeciwko sobie. Tancerze zostaną ocenieni według pięciu kluczowych kryteriów: techniki, wykonania, arsenału ruchów, muzykalności i oryginalności.
Zawody w breakingu na Igrzyskach Europejskich 2023 będą miały ogromne znaczenie dla uczestników. Dwoje wygranych otrzyma przepustkę do Igrzysk Olimpijskich w Paryżu 2024. Zgodnie z Systemem Olimpijskim jedna przepustka przyznana zostanie w kategorii kobiet, a druga w kategorii mężczyzn.
