The final day of the European Games falls on Sunday, July 2nd. It will mark the culmination of the largest multidisciplinary event ever held in Poland. While not everyone will return with a medal, we will ensure that participants and fans bid farewell to Kraków with a wide smile and admiration. Taking center stage at the Closing Ceremony of the European Games Kraków-Małopolska 2023 will be, among others, Viki Gabor, Sara James, and DJ Gromee, but that’s not all! Opening Ceremony of the European Games Krakow-Małopolska 2023

On June 21st at 8:30 PM, the remarkable Opening Ceremony of the 3rd European Games Krakow-Malopolska 2023 took place at the Henryk Reyman Municipal Stadium in Krakow. The extraordinary event left everlasting memory on all attendees who got to witness this unique moment.

Spectacular event!

The Opening Ceremony was a true artistic spectacle. Music, dance, choreography, and unforgettable performances by stars – all took place during this magical night. Representatives from all 48 participating nations of the Old Continent proudly marched across the Municipal Stadium, showcasing their national colours. It was an incredibly moving moment that evoked the spirit of sportsmanship and unity.

An unforgettable music event

The stage was graced by young Polish talents such as Tribbs and Roxy Węgiel, as well as the Ukrainian group Kalush Orchestra, who previously won the hearts of Eurovision fans. Moment in History

The Opening Ceremony was a unique opportunity to be part of the largest sporting event in the history of Poland. Over 7,000 athletes from across the continent attended who in the following days would compete for over 250 sets of medals. It is an exhilarating professional competition but also some of the athletes chance to qualify for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. Krakow, Malopolska, Chorzow, Wroclaw, Rzeszow, and Bielsko-Biala through this third edition of the European Games become arenas of passion, ambition, and sporting spirit.

One of the most thrilling moments of the ceremony was the lighting of the Olympic torch. This magical lighting of the torch symbolizes the beginning of the European Games Krakow-Malopolska 2023 and heralds 12 days of competition in 29 different sports disciplines.
