Spanish derby in padel final
If the women’s and mixed draw at the European Games will see Italy and Spain competing for the gold medal, in the men’s, the Spaniards are already sure to occupy the first two steps of the podium. To play the final for the most valuable metal medal will be Alonso Rodriguez and Pablo Garcia, the number 1 seed, and the youngsters Daniel Santigosa and David Gala.
Rodriguez and Garcia defeated in two sets (7-5 6-3) the Portuguese Alfonso Fazendeiro and Miguel Oliveira, who had a great tournament and will play the final for bronze; in the evening, Santigosa and Gala defeated the Italians Simone Cremona and Marco Cassetta (7-6 6-3).
With the latter who will play the final for gold in the mixed with Giulia Sussarello, against Canovas and Santigosa. Daniel, on the other hand, is chasing an extraordinary double.
