Golden Pekler. Italian and Swede best in Skeet
Martina Bartolomei won in the women’s Skeet competition. Erik Marcus Svensson was the best among men. In addition, Zalan Tibor Pekler once again proved that he can shoot – Hungarian won the gold medal in 50 m Rifle 3 Positions Men contest.
The Hungarian has been winning medals since the beginning of the event and is slowly getting the fans used to his shooting precision. Zalan Pekler defeated the Czech player Jiri Privratsky with a score of 16:10. The bronze went to the Austrian – Alexander Schmirl.
For Pekler, it is the third gold medal at the European Games. Earlier, he won medals in 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team and 10m Air Rifle Men’s Team. Looks like he’ll get more.
In Skeet, the best of the ladies was Martina Bartolomei. By winning the gold medal, she qualified for the Olympic Games in Paris. In the final, she defeated Emmanouela Katzouraki from Greece. The bronze medal went to Nadine Messerschmidt from Germany.
A similar success to the Italian was achieved by the Swede. Among the men, Erik Marcus Svensson had the most accurate shots. He overtook the Latvian Dainis Upelnieks by one point. The third place went to Eetu Aapeli Kallioinen from Finland.
More exciting competitions are coming today (26.06). Athletes will shoot in the following events: Skeet Mixed Team, 25 m Pistol Women and 50 m Rifle 3 Positions Women.
