Favorites enter the stage in table tennis competition
First day of table tennis tournament at the European Games Kraków-Małopolska 2023 was a warm-up and taste of the fight for medals. Today, favorites will enter the competition during second day of the tournament.
In the last 32 of the European Games Kraków-Małopolska 2023 favorites of men’s singles will enter the stage. European Champion of 2022 from Munich – Danq Qiu will play for the first time in Kraków. He’s the current European champion and is highest ranked European player on the ITTF list – German is ninth on the list. His compatriot Dmitrij Ovctharov, Darko Jorgić from Slovenia and Sweden’s Kristian Karlsson will also play.
Same stage will be played in the women singles tournament – current European champion, Austrian Sofia Polcanova and the silver medalist of the continental championship – the German Nina Mittelham will appear. Highest listed European ITTF list will play – German Yan Hing is currently ninth in the world.
