Grzegorz Krychowiak ambassador of the European Games side event!
This has not happened before, so in this respect the European Games Krakow – Małopolska 2023 are a pioneer. On the occasion of the largest multidisciplinary event on the Old Continent, the disabled will also have their festival. Amp footballers will play in the League of Nations tournament, of which Grzegorz Krychowiak has become an ambassador.
There is less than a month left until the European Games Krakow – Małopolska 2023. Around 7,000 athletes from 48 countries will compete in 29 disciplines. There will also be accompanying events on the occasion of this sporting feast, one of which will be an amp football tournament.
‘The side events are the idea of the city of Krakow. We received a letter from the Federation of Sports with Disabilities that there are no disability-related disciplines at the European Games, so we decided to make a bow and hence, before the start of the IE, a League of Nations tournament will be played at the Prądniczanka stadium with four of the best European teams in amp football: Turkey, England, Spain and Poland,’ stresses Janusz Kozioł, vice-president of the European Games company, in an interview with city TV.
Krakow has been the capital of Polish amp football for several years. The European Championships, the Champions League final and now the League of Nations tournament have already been played at Wawel.
On the occasion of major events, a well-known ambassador in the world of sport must also be present. During previous amp football events held in Poland, they were Robert Lewandowski and Jakub Błaszczykowski, and now the time has come for another member of the Outstanding Polish Representative Club – Grzegorz Krychowiak.
‘Footballers and amp footballers are very supportive of each other, which is great. The League of Nations tournament will be a unique event,” assures vice-president Kozioł.
