MTB cross-country competition will start this sunday
One of the most exciting disciplines of the European Games 2023 will start in Krynica-Zdroj
This Sunday, June 25, one of the most spectacular competitions at the European Games 2023 – Mountain Biking will start on Parkowa Hill in Krynica-Zdroj. Nearly 140 extremely talented male and female athletes will take part in the cross-country race (XCO), of which as many as 16 will represent Poland.
The best MTB athletes will meet on the track in Krynica-Zdroj
During the competition we will be able to see the top seven women from the current UCI ranking. The defending European XCO champion, Loana Lecomte (France), will face the medalists of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, Swiss women Jolanda Neff, Sina Frei and Linda Indergand. We will also see current world champion Pauline Ferrand-Prévot (France).
In the men’s competition, notable riders will include UCI ranking leader Lars Foster, Danish multidisciplinary cyclist Sebastian Fini, three-time World Championships and European Championships medalist Ondřej Cink (Czech Republic), and four-time World Championships medalist and multiple European Championships medalist Luca Braidot (Italy).
The women’s race will start at 11:30 am on Sunday, June 25 and men’s race will start at 2:15 pm on the same day.
