Polish player stun European champion to get a place in last 8 of table tennis tournament
Poland’s Natalia BAJOR stunned European champion, Austrian Sofia POLCANOVA 4:1 (4:11, 11:4, 11:3, 11:8, 12:10) to get a place in last 8 of table tennis tournament of European Games in Kraków.
“I still don’t how I did it, how I beat a European champion. I had a lot of health problems recently. This is actually the first tournament that I’m playing well this year. I am very happy that I got in shape just for the tournament that takes place in Poland”.
“The atmosphere here in Kraków is great. Recently I played in Lagos, where the atmosphere was equally hot so it was a good warm-up. In my opinion, the European Games are well organized”
Bajor will face Jia YUAN in last 8 of the tournament. “I lost against her in Euro Championships last year buttomorrow is a new day and anything can happen”.
