Beach soccer fans across the continent will be able to witness the return of the sport to the European Games Kraków Małopolska 2023, with it confirmed that the competition will feature eight teams from the men’s category and, for the first time ever, six teams from the women’s category. 

Beach soccer has featured at every edition of the European Games having showcased its unique characteristics and proved exciting action for fans at both Baku 2015 and Minsk 2019.  

In the men’s draw at Kraków Małopolska 2023, defending champions Portugal will attempt to reclaim the gold medal, but they will face intense competition from the likes of Azerbaijan, Spain, Italy, Moldova, Switzerland, Ukraine and hosts Poland. 

On the women’s side of the draw, European Beach Soccer League winners Spain will be looking to become the first winners of the tournament at the European Games when they come up against Czechia, Italy, Poland, Portugal and Ukraine. 

The tournament will take place in the beautiful setting of Tarnów and will see Europe’s elite compete in what is sure to be a spectacular event. 

The third edition of the European Games will take place in Kraków and the regions of Małopolska and Śląsk from 21 June – 2 July 2023.
