On the occasion of the 17th Summer European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) 2023, the Executive Committee of the The European Olympic Committees (EOC) met in Maribor for the fourth time this year.

In addition to Committee members, the meeting was attended by EOC President Spyros Capralos and Head of the Coordinating Commission, Hasan Arat. Together, they welcomed the President of the Slovenia National Olympic Committee, Franjo Bobinac, Secretary General Blaz Perko and EYOF Director Natasa Ritonija.

The meeting focused on the success with which the Krakow-Malopolska 2023 European Games came to an end. Spyros Capralos noted that from now on the European Games have grown into the most important multidisciplinary event in Europe. He thanked for the hard work of all those who have contributed their hand to the success of the Games.

Arat pointed out that all athletes left Krakow with great memories. He emphasised the high level of organisation of the Games. He also spoke of the modern technologies that made the promotion of the Games pan-European.

The 17th European Summer Youth Olympic Festival 2023 started in Maribor on 23 July and will last until Saturday.
