Tense competition in Wroclaw. Gold medals for Italy and Switzerland
Great sports emotions in Wroclaw. Italian duo won the competition in 10 m Air Pistol Mixed Team. Danilo Solazo and Nina Christen took individual gold in 10 m Air Rifle.
In 10 m Air Pistol Mixed Team competition the best were the Italians. Paolo Monna, who won the bronze individually before, and Sara Constantino in the final showdown turned out to be better than the Armenian team consisting of: Benik Khlghatyan and Elmira Karapetyan. Result: 17:7.
– We are very happy, this is our first gold at the European Games. Qualifying was a bit more difficult because we took more shots and had more opponents – Sara Constantino said.
Another Italian team competed for bronze – Federico Nilo Maldini and Maria Varricchio, but they were worse than scoring duo from Bulgaria: Samuil Donkov and Antoaneta Kostadinova. The Bulgarians won 16:2.
Danilo Dennis Solazo defeated German Maximilian Bene Ulbrich in 10 m Air Rifle Man contest. The result was 17:9. Jiri Pryvatsky from the Czech Republic won the bronze medal. Among the women, the Swiss rifle specialist Nina Christen was the most accurate individual. She won against Kamila Novotna from Slovakia. The bronze went to French Oceanne Muller.
Today (24.06) is another day of sports shooting competitions. Men and women compete to qualify for the finals in Skeet. There will also be final games of teams in 10 m Air Pistol and Air Rifle.
