The second day of the boxing tournament of the European Games 2023
The boxing tournament of the 2023 European Games is kicking off in earnest. On the second day, female and male boxers will compete in six categories.
Ladies will compete at 54 kg, 57 kg and 66 kg. Men will compete at 51 kg, 80 kg and 92 kg. This is the 1/16 phase of the finals.
The entire European top will present themselves in the ring in Nowy Targ. In the heavyweight division, one of the favourites is Enmanuel Reyes (ESP), a medallist of the World and European championships. The star of the light heavyweight (80 kg) should be Oleksandr Khyzhniak. The Ukrainian is a world champion (2017), European champion (2017), Olympic silver medallist (2021) and defending gold medallist of the previous European Games. Back then he was fighting in the 75 kilogram limit, now he boxes in the 80 kilogram division.
The first series of fights from 13:00, the second from 18:00.
