Mateusz Bereznicki: I am proud of myself
“It was a good tournament on my part, and I’m proud of myself.” – Mateusz Bereźnicki (POL), European Games bronze medalist in heavyweight boxing, said at a press conference today.
“I lost to a fighter who won the whole tournament. In my opinion, Aziz Abbes Mouhiidine will be the favorite for Olympic gold. I was supported by Polish fans, whom I heard during all the fights. I failed to win qualification for the Olympic Games in Paris, but I believe that I will still succeed. I will certainly work hard for it.” – Bereznicki continued.
“Everything was nicely organized. We had a good hotel, good food, so I have no objections about the organization of this competition. We showed ourselves from a good side.” – concluded the Polish fighter.
