A very good fight in the 57 kilogram weight class was fought by Javier Ibanez (BUL) and Jude Gallagher (IRL). After two rounds it was a draw, and the third round decided the winner. Ibanez retained more strength, winning on the judges’ scorecards 4:1.
In the evening session, good form was shown by Sara Beram (60 kilograms) from Croatia, who gave a display of counter-boxing, easily outpointing Lena Buchner from Germany. In the 57-kilogram weight class, defensive boxer Jack Dryden defeated Frenchman Riad Labidi in good style. Fans were warmed up by the fight of local Jaroslaw Iwanow. The Pole gained an advantage over Michele Baldassi of Italy in the first two rounds, which he maintained until the end of the fight.
In the 63,5 kilogram category, Aleksej Sendrik (SRB) showed high form. He was punching consistently with a left hook to the body, weakening his rival from Denmark and won highly on points. Georgian Lasha Guruli with a good jab and a strong right hand will also be dangerous.
In the 71kg weight class, Eskerkhan Madiev (GEO) looked the best today. This fighter did not take a step back, he was constantly pressuring his opponent and punching very hard with both hands. Youba Sissokho (ESP) took up the challenge, fought until the last second, but Madiev deservedly won.
