Thanks to a multi-million investment, it is currently one of the most modern facilities of this type in the world. Just like Wielka Krokiew, it has the approval of the International Ski Federation (FIS).

What’s also interesting, the local villas and spas were built in the characteristic architectural Zakopane style, popularized by the famous Polish artist Stanisław Witkiewicz.
Zakopane is also famous as an arena for winter sports. It owes this mainly to the Wielka Krokiew Jumping Hill, which is the largest jumping hill in the country. It was built before World War II, and some of the most prestigious competitions are held here.
Zakopane’s unique atmosphere makes the city a very popular tourists destination during Christmas, New Year’s Eve, or winter holidays. However, it is also worth coming to the area in spring to admire the blooming crocuses in the Chochołowska Valley.
